Tips on planning a trip to Melaka | After a long week of classes and struggling with my studies, I'm finally done with my final exam. It's time to take some times off. I decided to go to Melaka and bring my family along. Travelling with your family won't be easy as you need to make sure you yourself are well informed and that they're comfortable. Moving here and there won't be easy. So here are a few tips that work which I'd love to share with you guys. I've been travelling solo most of the time but this time I am taking my family along.

Tips on planning a trip to Melaka

Book a hotel that is near to the tourist attractions. 

I'm super thankful that Melaka has a very strategic map that many places are near to each other. I saw so many foreign tourists walked here and there. But for those who have elders and toddlers with them, it is much safer to travel by car. It'll be difficult to walk as the weather these days are hot. That will not be good for their health as well as ours.

You can book a hotel or guesthouse using websites such as Traveloka, Agoda, Airbnb, Hotels Combined, Hotels.com and many more. More discounts and deals are available when you're using these sites. Don't forget to compare with other sites to find the best price for it.

Book an early ticket using klook

To make it easier when you got there, purchase the tickets to the attractions earlier. You can simply check all the tickets through klook and just buy it online. I book mine from the website and save my time from queuing at the counter. All I need to do is scan the code and I'm god to go. The tickets bought are valid up until 3 months and you can go at any time you picked.  

Locate nearby places to eat or a 24-hour store

I'll make sure to find or first locate any convenience store nearby such as seven eleven or family mart. Trust me it'll be super convenient at times. Make sure to find a good place to eat. You don't know when you'll eat out or just take it away to eat at the hotel.

Hydrate yourself

It can get super hot during the day especially if you travel to the Impression City. It's very near to the sea and that there is less shade in the middle of the town. It'll get really hot you might end up with a headache or a fever right after the trip. Prepare a lot of water and electrolyte such as the original 100 plus. Trust me it helps.

Bring an umbrella or hats

You'll never know when you're gonna need one. Or at least spare a hat just in case you're too lazy to hold an umbrella with you. Well, it can get super annoying holding so many things at once.

The latest attractions in Melaka

Here's an idea of where to go when you're visiting Malacca. Encore Melaka is one of the latest attractions in Malacca. Fret not, there are more places to visit and it's near to each other that isn't miles away. No wonder the foreigners can just walk from one place to another. For those who don't favour walking, driving to each place won't take hours but only a few minutes depending on the traffics. Oh, you can try the trishaw too. It's been so long since I went on one.

Some may ask was it not boring to be on the river cruise. Well nope. I found it fun and relaxing while being able to enjoy the beautiful view. Yeah, the place may be old but it's still gold.
